Generative Approaches to Language Acquisition
(GALA) wishes to bring together researchers on first and second
language acquisition, bilingual acquisition, language pathology, the
acquisition of sign language, and brain imaging research for acquisition
and pathology within a generative framework. GALA has been previously
held in Durham (1993), Groningen (1995), Edinburgh (1997), Potsdam
(1999), Palmela (2001), Utrecht (2003) and Siena (2005).

Two workshops
will be held.
The day before Gala 2007, a Workshop
on Tools for Phonological Databases: FreP, Phon and PhonBank
conducted by Yvan Rose, Marina Vigário, and Sónia
Frota, will be held in Barcelona.
Shortly after GALA 2007, Eurosla
2007 will be held, between the 11th and the 14th of
September, in Newcastle.
